Community Health Statement - COVID-19

Just 10 days ago, our team was in our retail store, taking photographs of hundreds of items damaged when deadly tornadoes raged through Nashville. On a moment’s notice, we gathered, changed plans, cleaned, reset, and reopened for business just three days later.
Now, we’re faced with uncertainty because of the COVID-19 pandemic—leaving us with more questions and preparing for the worst. But, once again, our small but mighty team is ready to face this challenge together.

Because our mission to build relationships and community can’t be wiped out by any virus, we are taking the following precautions in our retail store:

  • Following the best practices and recommendations of the Nashville Farmers’ Market and the Metro Public Health Department, we are actively taking every precaution to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces—including, but not limited to shelving, registers, and credit card readers—in our retail store.

  • We have discontinued the sampling of food items in our retail store. But don’t hesitate to ask store staff for flavor profiles or recommendations.

  • We have discontinued the use of shopping baskets but will happily provide paper shopping bags for your convenience.

  • We will be providing hand sanitizer at our registers to encourage a clean and sanitary space for our employees and customers.

  • If any of our employees develop symptoms they will be required to stay at home.

At our fulfillment warehouse, we are taking the following precautions when we pack and ship gifts:

  • Following the best practices and recommendations of the Nashville Farmers’ Market and the Metro Public Health Department, we are actively taking every precaution to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces— including, but not limited to shelving, tables, and work stations—in our fulfillment warehouse.

  • All warehouse employees wear sterile latex gloves when handling products and packing boxes for shipment.

  • Employees will be encouraged to wash hands frequently and make use of our hand sanitizer pumps.

  • If any of our employees develop symptoms they will be required to stay at home.

Foremost in our minds are our customers. While we’re all facing "business-as-unusual" right now, we understand a few things are happening where we think we can be helpful:

Your sales trip is canceled, but you still need to make the sale.

Your conference is canceled, but the connections you were hoping to deepen still matter.

Your sister’s birthday trip is canceled, but her birthday isn’t.

Your anniversary vacation is canceled, but your relationship is still going strong.

And for that, we’re here. Remember, when you shop local, you make a big impact in the community.

As a reminder, Batch offers online shopping with hundreds of artisan items perfect for any occasion (especially for connecting in a time of social distancing). Please don’t hesitate to call or email with concerns, questions, or ideas. We are here to help.

Sincerely,

Sam, Rob, and the Batch team
