OUR MISSION

This June, Tikvah invites high-school students (current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders) and an accompanying parent to travel with us to Israel. Our mission: a week of in-depth learning about Israeli political and military history, high-end briefings on the current challenges facing the Jewish state, and a show of serious commitment to the US-Israel alliance.

This 5-day trip—beginning with an opening dinner on Sunday, June 23, and ending with a closing dinner on Thursday, June 27—is uniquely designed for high school students to travel and learn together with his or her father, mother or other closely-related adult.

OUR SPEAKERS

We will learn from some of the Jewish people's most distinguished scholars, government ministers, and intellectuals, including Tikvah Chairman and foreign policy expert Elliott Abrams, Rabbi Dr. Meir Soloveichik, Ambassador Ron Dermer, Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus, deputy-mayor of Jerusalem Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, journalist Haviv Rettig Gur, author and co-founder of Shalem College Dan Polisar and many others. This will be an intellectual experience like few other trips to Israel.

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS

Resilience: Visit the Nova festival site and affected kibbutzim along the Gaza border. We will visit Kikar Hahatufim (the Hostages Square) and Har Herzl. We will meet with soldiers, survivors, and experts on the ground to hear first-hand about their experiences and perspectives.

Leadership: Our group will have the opportunity to engage in high-level briefings from military representatives, government officials, and journalists who will help us understand the historical context, strategic dimensions, and security imperatives of modern Israel.

Solidarity: Witness how Israeli society has rallied in response to October 7, and learn about the grassroots initiatives that have emerged to strengthen the bonds among citizens of the Jewish state, including visiting soldiers and preparing meals for our courageous brothers and sisters fighting on the frontlines.
